About Bank of Bhutan
Bank of Bhutan (BoB), established by a Royal Charter in 1968, is the oldest bank in the country. It also has the distinction of being the largest commercial bank in Bhutan with a network of 53 branches.
The Bank of Bhutan (BoB) partnered with Modefin for its digital transformation journey, resulting in the launch of goBOB, a key digital wallet application. goBOB’s core objective is to advance financial inclusion within Bhutan, encourage cashless payments, and integrate all citizens, including students, into the formal financial ecosystem—even without a traditional bank account.
