Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced IBM COBOL / BankMate Specialist to support and enhance our banking and
payment applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IBM systems, COBOL/400, and BankMate
development, with extensive experience in payment processing systems
Skills Required:
- 11–18 years of strong hands-on experience in IBM systems.
- Expertise in IBM COBOL and COBOL/400 (AS/400).
- Strong experience in payment systems and banking domain applications.
- Proficient in BankMate development, including modules like deposits, loans, and core banking processes.
- Familiarity with batch processing, job scheduling, and production support.
- Knowledge of DB2 or other relational databases.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance IBM COBOL and COBOL/400 applications.
- Perform BankMate development, configuration, and customization for banking operations.
- Provide expert-level support for payment processing systems, including transaction processing, clearing, and
settlement. - Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues in critical banking applications.
- Work with business and technical teams to implement solutions and ensure seamless integration.
- Perform performance tuning, optimization, and system stability checks.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on IBM, COBOL, and BankMate systems
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to banking or financial services projects.
- Experience in system modernization, integration, or migration projects.
- Familiarity with SDLC processes in large-scale IT environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
